Yahoo now has upgraded mysql to 5. They offer IMAP email as well. Finally.

Hello Mark. Both Thesis and Genesis are superb themes and I would heartily recommend either of them. Personally I prefer Genesis because I like the way it functions and am familiar with the way it works now – a lot of this is because Genesis was the framework I tried first, which I think influences many peoples decisions. How much experience and knowledge do you have in terms of managing your website may I ask?

I just spoke to my client. He was told January at the earliest. This is three people who have clearly been given different timelines.

Personally I´d suggest ditching them.

I find myself wondering the same Jess. Their approach to this upgrade has been slow – any host in its right mind would have moved on from that version of MySQL a long time ago – but they seem to enjoy leaving upgrades till their is no further option – and in doing so put peoples sites at risk.

Thank you for updating everyone on the current state of affairs.

Several customers here however have already abandoned yahoo in favour of hostgator as they have communicated with me how much better their wordpress platforms are working now.

But definitely good news for those of you who have chosen to remain with them.
