Long Hair Styles in 2012

I have been checking out the latest hair styles in long hair (and will cover medium and short hair in the next few days). I start with long hair because I have naturally straight to slightly wavy long dark hair (a rich and dark chestnut some might call it). Going back into my teens I considered it dull and bleached it within an inch of its lift – to a light honey blond. It suited my skin tone but sadly didnt do my hair any favours and I realised something had to change when it started to break off! I am finally back to my natural colour and have learned to love it!

I love styling my long hair in different ways – so am very excited to see the trends for this year.

Long & bouncy Hair

This style is described as a gorgeous blow-out – the bouncy blow dry giving long hair a groomed, elegant yet relaxed finish. This is inspired by the 70s fashion revival but will work across most of 2012′s trends.

Hair type suited to: long straight hair & long wavy hair.

Hair colour suited to: all.

Long Hair with Homemade curls

This girly hairstyle features in many of the other 2012 hairstyle trends. Soft and eye-catching, homemade curls give off a laid back air as one of 2012′s long hairstyle trends and are great for the holiday season – think beach curls with sun kissed highlights.

Hair type suited to: long straight hair & long wavy hair.

Hair colour suited to: all

French Twist

Given that classic fashion revivals define 2012 it is no surprise this classic and elegant is back. Team up with some of the glamorous outfits for full effect. A stunning hairstyle which can be dressed up with hair accessories.

Hair type suited to: long straight hair & long wavy hair.

Hair colour suited to: all.

More coming soon!
