The catwalks have been overflowing with an abundance of all-white looks this spring/summer 2012 catwalks and, based on that, it can definitely be considered a trend of two halves.
On one side designers such as Celine, Diane Von Furstenberg, Jil Sander and Stella McCartney placed their focus on precision-cut tailoring and crisp clean cotton – the looks were minimalistic and cooly clinical.
Yet other designers such as Louis Vuitton, Giambattista Valli, Chloe and Dolce & Gabbana brought an extravagent girly look into the trend – focusing on girly pieces in broderie anglaise, lace and the sheerest of silks.
Since I will be spend the summer in sweltering Andalucia I am absolutely delighted about the abundance of white which is sure to hit the high street stores any time soon. So I hit the online stores today to seek out what they are turning out. Enjoy
